Foreign Trade Zone
The greater Fargo Moorhead area has a designated Foreign Trade Zone, which is an area considered to be outside the formal U.S. Customs territory, while still under its supervision. Use of a Foreign Trade zone can defer, delay or altogether eliminate U.S. Customs duties. Fargo Moorhead has attained Foreign Trade Zone status for the community allowing local and new businesses greater freedom and more opportunity to expand their businesses with international trade.
