Midori Comes to Fargo

January 29th, 2010 by Adrienne Olson

Join your Chamber of Commerce in a once in a lifetime opportunity. Violin superstar Midori is coming to Fargo Moorhead to work one-on-one with student violinists, speak on the importance of the arts to public audiences, visit area schools, teach master classes, and perform as a soloist with two different orchestras.

Each year, two orchestras in the United States are chosen through a competitive audition to receive a week-long residency by violinist Midori through her Orchestra Residencies Project. The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra was the unanimous choice of every single judge on the panel to participate this year. Midori will begin her week long residency February 10 with many events which are open to the public. For more information, visit www.fmsymphony.org.
