Brief Company Description:  Preference Personnel is a locally owned staffing company that provides outsourced hiring and consulting services for businesses in the metro area.    Our team specializes in professional/executive search, temporary and contract employment, as well as safety consulting. 

Job Responsibilities:   Partner with businesses on their hiring needs and challenges and work with candidates on their career search.  I specialize in Accounting/Finance, Sales, Management, Administrative, HR, Marketing, and Skilled.

Favorite Aspects of your job:  I love that I get to work with a variety of great companies and positions in our market!  My favorite aspect of my job is learning about businesses and making successful matches between an employer and a candidate!

Why is it important to you to be involved in the YPN? The YPN has helped me expand my professional network.  The group has also given many opportunities to learn more about our community, businesses and leaders.

Community Involvement:  Junior Achievement, MState Sales & Marketing Advisory Board, FMHRA, Chair- YPN Professional Development Committee, YPN Leadership Committee. 

What goals do you have for the coming year? Professional: Continue to develop my organizational development consulting role within our company.  Personal: Run another ½ marathon.

Favorite part of living/working in the FM region? Fargo is a growing city, but still has the small town feel that I grew up with.  I also like the fact that you only have to go to the airport an hour before your flight leaves. Especially when you’re going somewhere warm!

Family: Brian (Husband) Maggie (Dog) and Baby Jorvig (Due spring of 2010).

Interests:  Traveling and spending summer lake season at the cabin.
